The objective of The Friends of Old Christ Church is to assist The Churches Conservation Trust in the care and preservation of the church which is a Grade II* listed building. Our aim is to raise funds for the improvement of facilities within the church and to encourage the use of the church for community activity.
The building was recently saved from demolition and is now vested in the Churches Conservation Trust, the national charity protecting historic churches at risk. The Friends are a voluntary group founded in 1999 for the purpose of helping to look after the building and bring it back into community use.
We now have a full programme of events throughout the year and host a monthly Farmers & Artisans Market, a monthly Flea Markets, two Beer Festivals, an annual Art Exhibition, three Fairs (Spring, Summer and Christmas), and Sefton's Big Draw & Craft Workshops. We also host the National Childbirth Trust's 'Nearly New Sales' in March and October together with various musical concerts.
Details of our calendar of events are on our website.
