We are a fundraising organisation founded by the original Merseybeat bands of the Sixties.
Also known as 'The Rock 'n' Roll Children's Children's Charity', we raise money for sick and disadvantaged children in the Merseyside area.
How do we do it? Every Thursday evening we hold a Jam Night at 'The Home' of Merseycats, The Holy Rosary Parish Centre in Altway, Aintree Village.
On various occasions throughout the year we put on outdoor shows in and around the Merseyside area featuring bands and music from the 60's and beyond.
We also have fund raising nights either at the 'home' of Merseycats or at places like The Cavern.
We also openly encourage new young musicians to join and form bands to keep the name Merseycats alive into the 21st century, after all the ideals of Merseycats as a children's charity must be kept going into the future.
It is our 25th aniversary year in 2014 so keep an eye on our facebook and website to see what we have planned to celebrate.
